Hey,
Many of us think , why can't we smell nature's variety of flowers, awareness regarding dangerous and toxic gases and there odor(in small proportions),our favourite cousin on cookery show, like we can see them(T.V's) , listen to them(T.V's,radios,etc).....but there was always a bug of dissatisfaction regarding "odor" in our minds.
So guys , my today's blog is based on it.It is my visualisation of such a thing(i hope u'll like it).
It would require 3 basic steps-
1.Receptor(at respective studios)
2.Amplifier(just like a cable operator)
3.Transmitter(present in our houses(plug gable))
CONCEPT-
Ques 1) What is a smell?
Ans) Smell is a very direct sense. In order for you to smell something, molecules from that thing have to make it to your nose. Everything you smell, therefore, is giving off molecules -- whether it is fresh baked cookies, your mom's perfume or a big, juicy orange or grapefruit. Those molecules are generally light, volatile (easy to evaporate) chemicals that float through the air into your nose. There are things that have no smell - like a piece of steel. Steel is a non-volatile solid. It has no smell because nothing evaporates from it.

At the top of your nasal passages behind your nose, there is a patch of special neurons about the size of a postage stamp. These neurons are unique in that they are out in the open where they can come into contact with the air. They have hair-like projections called cilia that increase their surface area. An odor molecule binds to these cilia to trigger the neuron and cause you to perceive a smell.
Ques 2 ) How will the machine work?????
Ans) First of all don't call it a mere machine!!! its definitely more than that.Lets give it a name......ummmmm.....yes..OLFACTOGRAPH(in short "O.G.H").
So lets take an example,we are making an apple pie :D .The tiny molecules released by ""apple pie"" will be detected by RECEPTOR O.G.H. And here comes the tricky part!! RECEPTOR O.G.H will act like our nose, it will detect smell of ""apple pie"" convert it into electrical impulses(like our brain does) and will send it to the cable operator/satellite(whatever the intermediate is) and that intermediate will AMPLIFY that signal and will direct it to our homes!!
Our job doesn't get over here,
at our homes TRANSMITTER O.G.H will receive that electrical impulses (again like our brain does) and then!!!!! the rest of the job will be done by """"FRAGRANCE CARTRIDGES"".....yes!! yes!!! you are right the same that we use to fragrant our stinking cars!!!!!!
And then all you have to do is plug in O.G.H , push the switch to open it and point our "respective" noses to O.G.H to enjoy odour of your..................""""APPLE PIE"""!!!!!
